Chad is a dedicated Class A member of the PGA of America and grew up in western New York, near Rochester. Starting golf at age 4, he began playing competitively at age 6. In 7th grade, he made the Varsity Golf team and qualified to play match competition. His talent and passion led him to eagerly pursue a career in golf. Chad graduated from Campbell University with a major in PGA Golf Management and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. At Campbell University, Chad worked with decorated PGA instructor David Orr, who has worked with many touring Professionals. While at Campbell, he also became a certified instructor of The Golf Machine. This method helped him to understand the philosophy of teaching that there is not just one way to swing a golf club or play great golf. There are also several aspects besides full swing to improve any players scores. This is also the philosophy that Chad tries to implore in all of his students to be more confident players and better enjoy the game.

We are so pleased that we decided to enlist Chad Orbaker as our golf instructor.  My wife is a relative newcomer to the game and I on the other hand, have been playing for quite some time.  We enrolled together in the “5 Lesson Group Plan” taught by Chad and quickly found that we enjoyed his style and skill set.

Chad spent the early portion of each lesson explaining the proper set up and how to execute each shot.  He then provided us each with our own private “mini” lesson that focused on our individual issues and skill levels.  More importantly, he left us with the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to perform each of the shots; so that in the future we would be able to recognize a weakness and correct it ourselves.

Chad is an incredible teacher and very patient man. I was a very dificult person to teach because I was stuck in my old ways. When it was all said and done, He did teach an old dawg a few new tricks after a few lessons.
